EFAC S2S is a student-led initiative aimed at raising money, creating awareness, connecting students, and fostering leadership for the nonprofit Education For All Children (EFAC). By organizing various fundraisers, EFAC S2S raises money to support EFAC's mission to provide an education-to-employment program for bright Kenyan youth who would not otherwise be able to attend school beyond 8th grade.
Through outreach and community events, EFAC S2S creates awareness about global educational inequalities. EFAC S2S connects American and Kenyan high school students, in school and beyond. Lastly, EFAC S2S creates an avenue for American high school students to make a difference in their global community.
Education For All Children Student-to-Student (EFAC S2S) was started in January 2016 by Lilia Potter Schwartz, a student in Portsmouth, NH.

Fundraising Spotlight: Race to Educate
For several years the Portsmouth EFAC S2S chapter held the annual Race to Educate, a family-fun duathlon! Participate individually or on a team of two or three! All proceeds supported the secondary and university education of Kenyan EFAC S2S scholars. They have raised thousands of dollars over the years!
Fundraising Spotlight: Project 3.2
The S2S Chapter at Berwick Academy held an outreach/fundraising event called Project 3.2. It's based on the idea that if every upper school student donated just $3.20, they could fund an entire year of tuition and support services for an EFAC scholar. It was a big success and they are supporting Joseph. How much would it cost per student in your community to change a life?
“It is inspiring to see our community come together to create a powerful ripple effect of change. Joseph’s education will give him a path out of poverty, and allow him to pursue his goal of helping to improve the lives of people in his own community. We are hopeful that S2S will continue to strengthen the focus of global citizenship, philanthropy and outreach on campus for years to come." Zoe L., Berwick Academy Student
Student Donates her Talent
Elle, a high school senior, spent months learning about EFAC, then made a story come to life. She created an animation for an ‘Innovation Pursuit’, an optional student-directed project driven by a student's passion. Elle illustrates a typical girl's transformative journey with EFAC.
