EFAC’s Student Ambassador Program is a way for high school and college students in the United States to get involved with the organization, give back in a meaningful way, and connect with students in the US or Kenya*.
US-Based Student Ambassadors
Students currently in high school or college are eligible to apply to join the Student Ambassador Program. Ambassadors are expected to participate in 2-3 activities each year, including at least one fundraising activity. Students who have previously participated in the EFAC Student-to-Student initiative, are welcome to rejoin as Student Ambassadors.
Once a student fills out the interest form below, a member of the EFAC team will reach out with next steps and provide tools and support to get Ambassadors started. While this is a significant commitment in terms of time and focus, students find in rewarding to participate in making a difference and building connections with students from Kenya.
Typical activities include:
Hosting a fundraiser (think bake sale, 5k run, car wash)
Exchanging letters with an EFAC Scholar in Kenya
Giving a presentation at school about EFAC and your experience
Helping with administrative tasks at the office
Participating in Zoom calls with other US and Kenya Student Ambassadors
